TERRA INCOGNITA
This ongoing series of imaginary and metaphorical landscape paintings center on mystery and liminal states of perception. In a post-covid world, it seems that no part of our lives have been untouched or unchanged in some way, and daily life often feels like terra incognita- unknown land. The color here is bright or intense, and often emotional. The broken picture planes combined with soft granulated gradations give a sense of floating between one thing and another.
